We experimented each golf ball below with a group of 50 members 65+ years of age at a local golf course of ours and provided their top 4 options below.
​Taylormade 2022 Soft Response AlignXL Golf Balls
This golf ball got the highest rating out of all the golf balls we tested with the group. If you like to put spin on the ball this is the best one to do it with. However, the one negative feed back we got was from the golfers on the more younger side of 65(faster swing speeds) noticed their distance on their drives weren't the best with this ball. Lastly, this ball is on the more pricier side, which is probably why it got the best results.

Callaway Supersoft Golf Balls
For your average senior golfer, this is the safest option to take. This was universally the least complained about golf ball out of all the ones we tested. The only reason we didn't put it at number 1 was because people really harped about the ball control around the green with the Taylormade option. However, this golf ball is significantly cheaper than the option above.

Piper Golf Premium Golf Balls for Maximum Distance and Straighter Shots
Now this golf ball only made the list for one reason, all of our golfers with handicaps from 10-20 said they hit the ball straighter. Now all the really good golfers with 2-5 handicaps were not a fan of the golf ball because they felt they were losing distance on their shots and couldn't really put spin on it as well as the others around the green. Price is about average.

Volvik Vimax Soft
This one I was shocked got as much positive feedback. Similar to above people loved the distance and accuracy of their drives with the balls. However, the control around the green isn't as good as the other balls above. This is the safer choice for a person who doesn't hit the ball far and likes to reuse their ball for as many rounds as possible. Price is average
